Jill Watkins

President

I'm Jill, and I am from a small town outside of Columbus, Ohio called Powell. I am a HUGE Ohio State Buckeye Football fan and love anything and everything Ohio. GO BUCKS! I am majoring in Strategic Communications with a minor in Human Services. I'm on the executive committee of the Periclean Scholars Class of 2019, which is an organization dedicated to carrying out sustainable, ethical, humanitarian aid in Sri Lanka. If you get me talking about this program, I will never stop! It has helped me find my passion within humanitarian aid and ultimately drove my decision to apply for the Peace Corps. I am also on the Families Committee of ElonThon, which is something I have been involved in since I was a freshman. This event has emphasized my love for kiddos, and I cannot wait for these life-changing 24 hours this April! I love Alpha Xi Delta because it is a place comprised of love and support. The strong, compassionate, dedicated women in this organization inspire everyone in their path to be better versions of themselves, while also encouraging me to do the same. AXID is a place where I can be unapologetically myself due to the women I have the privilege to surround myself with. The women of Alpha Xi Delta continuously encourage me to be my best self, and I am honored beyond belief to call myself a leader of such an empowering organization I get to call home.

Kristin Shipp

VP of Finance & Operations

Hi, my name is Kristin! I’m from Boston, Massachusetts and am a Junior studying Finance with minors in Accounting and Psychology. I am very involved on campus whether that be dedicating my time to Colleges Against Cancer, Inter-Residence Council, or Undergraduate Research. There are so many aspects of Alpha Xi Delta that I love, but I particularly love the constant support of my sisters, regardless of where in the world I am. The women in our chapter challenge me to be a better person and take on leadership roles I would never have considered otherwise. I also hold our philanthropy, Autism Speaks, close to my heart, as my brother is on the spectrum. It is so heart-warming to be surrounded by women who are as passionate about raising money for Autism Speaks as I am.
