New Member Program
Our five-to-eight-week Bonds of Sisterhood program helps new members learn about Fraternity and chapter life and the responsibilities of membership. These responsibilities include upholding Alpha Xi Delta ideals and standards, meeting financial obligations, pursuing personal and academic excellence and participating in chapter activities.
My name is Sam Chilton, and I am the Vice President of Member Development for Alpha Xi Delta Theta Nu chapter. My goal is to inspire and educate chapter members about our values through new member period, academic achievement, ritual, and programming.
Our six week new member period teaches the new women about the history of our organization and the responsibilities of membership. Through “Xi 101” classes, pledge class activities, and organized bonding events the new women are exposed to our chapter and learn about what Fraternity life entails. After this period they should understand and uphold our values, financial obligations, academic standards, and commitment to our sisters, so they can then be formally initiated into Alpha Xi Delta.
